Job Summary
To assist in managing all warehouse operations by ensuring all stocks are received, stored, and sent out in saleable condition. This is a hands-on position requiring physical capability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of warehouse operations.
Position Overview
As a Warehouse Assistant at our Bartica location, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that products are properly handled, stored, and distributed while maintaining quality standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) policy at all times
- Rotate stock properly to maintain freshness and quality
- Monitor expiration dates and product conditions
Product Quality & Presentation
- Ensure stock is presented to internal and external customers in good saleable condition at all times
- Inspect products for damage or defects
- Maintain product integrity throughout storage and handling
Equipment & Facility Management
- Care and protection of warehouse handling tools and equipment
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly
Warehouse Maintenance
- Clean assigned areas daily
- Ensure that standard packing is maintained for pallet loads at all times
- Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all safety and housekeeping protocols
Loading & Unloading Operations
- Load and offload 20′ and 40′ palletized containers within 15-30 minutes
- Handle containers efficiently and safely
- Ensure proper securing of loads for transport
- Work quickly while maintaining quality and safety standards
Additional Duties
- Any other duties that may arise periodically
- Support team members with various warehouse tasks
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks
- Participate in warehouse improvement initiatives

Preferred Experience
