The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security is seeking a qualified and experienced Personnel Officer II to join our Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the effective management of personnel within the public sector.
Position Overview
The Personnel Officer II plays a critical role in maintaining personnel records, ensuring compliance with service rules, and supporting the smooth operation of the HR department.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain records of performance appraisals to ensure all personnel are appraised
- Administer all service rules governing personnel practices
- Conduct job analysis and write job descriptions to satisfy requests for position changes by programme heads
- Conduct preliminary investigations in disciplinary matters and collect statements for review by Senior Personnel Officers and Principal Personnel Officer
- Assist the Principal Personnel Officer with the compilation of records
- Perform any other related duties for the smooth functioning of the department
Qualifications
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Option 1:
- A Diploma in Public Management
- At least two (2) years of experience within the public sector
Option 2:
- Three (3) years of experience as a Personnel Officer I
- A good performance record

- Knowledge of public service rules and regulations

- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
