Position Overview
As a Field Technician Agent, you’ll be the face of Nexlink Communications, installing and maintaining internet infrastructure while providing exceptional customer service. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with customer interaction.
Job Description
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair internet equipment and infrastructure at customer premises and network locations
- Perform site surveys to assess the feasibility and requirements of new installations
- Set up routers, modems, and other networking equipment
Technical Support
- Test network performance to ensure optimal speed and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise
- Diagnose connectivity problems and implement solutions
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards
Customer Service
- Interact with customers and provide quality service
- Explain technical processes in customer-friendly terms
- Address customer concerns professionally
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
Documentation & Compliance
- Follow safety procedures and regulations
- Document and report work activities and results
- Maintain accurate records of installations and repairs
- Track inventory and equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of networking and internet infrastructure
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Physical capability to perform installations (climbing, lifting equipment)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in telecommunications or IT
- Knowledge of networking protocols and equipment
- Certification in networking or related fields
- Experience with cable installation and testing
