We are looking for an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team. Applications close March 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive annual Industrial Hygiene (IH) plans for operations
- Conduct thorough IH Area Surveys to identify and report on physical, chemical and biological hazards across all operational areas
- Perform qualitative IH surveys to classify work exposure and determine similarly exposed worker groups (SEGs) through task analysis, observation and worker interviews
- Execute quantitative IH Exposure Assessments for SEGs by deploying calibrated sampling equipment and applying validated analytical methods
- Implement control measures, conduct regular audits and maintain detailed records to protect personnel from radiation sources and ensure compliance with radiation permit requirements
- Provide training and education to the workforce on industrial hygiene programs
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health or a related scientific or engineering field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is highly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Industrial Hygiene within oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing or similar heavy industry
- Working knowledge of IH Management Systems, exposure assessment methodologies, IH equipment operation, radiation safety management, chemical hazard communication and occupational health regulations
- Familiarity with international standards such as ACGIH TLVs, World Bank and relevant national/local IH guidelines including Guyana OHS regulations
- Fluent in English
