Expro is seeking a skilled Workshop Maintenance Technician to join our team in Guyana. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and develop your technical skills with an international company.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Work under direct supervision within the Workshop, assisting with the maintenance, repair, and movement of equipment. You will assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment in line with work plans to the required Company quality and certification standards.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
Equipment Maintenance
- Assist with the assembly, maintenance, and disassembly of equipment as required
- Perform repairs according to established work plans
- Ensure all work meets company quality and certification standards
- Handle equipment movement safely and efficiently
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately complete required documentation for review by foreman/supervisor
- Ensure all documentation is in line with company’s policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Follow company safety and quality protocols
Team Collaboration
- Participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, and mobilization/demobilization updates
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
- Communicate effectively about equipment status and maintenance needs
Workplace Management
- Carry out daily housekeeping of workplace and tools
- Ensure a clean and organized working environment
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Follow safety and environmental procedures
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- At least 3 subjects CXC inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
- Technical certificate from Government Technical Institute or its equivalent
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
- Practical hands-on maintenance experience
- Familiarity with workshop operations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical fitness for manual work
- Ability to work effectively under supervision
- Good communication skills
