Position Overview
The Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily accounting operations of our courier delivery unit, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient cash management in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily accounting operations for the courier delivery unit
- Manage cash management and cash flow
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy
- Supervise accounting staff and daily processes
Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage financial records with accuracy and organization
- Conduct bank and cash reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Maintain transparency in all financial reporting
- Support monthly accounts preparation
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements
- Prepare for and support audits
- Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory purposes
- Implement internal controls and procedures
Analysis & Improvement
- Analyze financial data and identify trends
- Recommend process improvements
- Support management decision-making with financial insights
Requirements
Education & Certification
- ACCA Level 1 or higher (required)
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Preferably in logistics, courier, or cargo sector
- Supervisory experience an asset
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of VAT reporting would be an asset
- Proficiency in accounting software (required)
- Advanced MS Excel skills (required)
- Knowledge of logistics/courier industry accounting practices preferred
