Position Overview
The Inspector I will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional committed to maintaining and promoting quality standards across various sectors in Guyana.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of products, processes, and facilities to ensure compliance with national standards
- Verify that goods and services meet quality and safety requirements
- Collect samples for testing and analysis as required
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
- Investigate complaints and non-compliance issues
- Provide guidance to businesses on standards and compliance
- Enforce relevant standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders
- Monitor market surveillance activities
- Support public awareness initiatives on standards
